I went through the comic multiple time and either I'm missing it or am blind. Could be both.
Dat cameltoe though.

I remember her, she was a background character in an issue during the story arc where Sonic was lost in space. (between issues 125 and 130) That whole arc was a DISASTER of poorly written, rushed stories, and this one had to be one of the worst issues in it. You see, it turns out that E.V.E., an AI from WAAAAAY back in issue 21, turned into an amalgamation between the Borg and the Death Star, and was flying around space destroying inhabited planets to incorporate their technology within herself (yes, untold BILLIONS have died because of this, in a SONIC comic.) This character and a group of other colorful rogues were survivors of this unparalleled genocide trying to halt the advance of this unstoppable murder machine. They put together a fleet of ships to fight her...and got totally destroyed in a single page...possibly one panel, making their intro pretty pointless. Sonic, filled with despair at the loss of life before his eyes, lost all reason and tried to kamikaze his ship into it, only for her to recognize his bio signature and let him into her core. He told her that what she did was wrong and she flew into a star to destroy herself. That's it, a rogue A.I. the size of a small planet who had killed billions did so because she didn't know that it was wrong and unceremoniously commits suicide upon this revelation. It's even worse because that enormous machine construct she had built contained all the amalgamated knowledge of the civilizations she exterminated, so in destroying the whole thing the last remnant of all of those people and their accomplishments are gone forever. She didn't make any effort to preserve any of this, like maybe by deleting her consciousness and leaving the machine body behind as a memorial museum, or maybe using her godlike power to actually recreate the worlds she destroyed (it would have worked in comic book logic.)
This issue was a total slap in the face, when we left E.V.E. off in issue 21 she had evolved beyond her programming and set off into the cosmos on a quest of infinite discovery, she had chosen to be more like Sonic, rejecting Robotnik's evil, it was a HOPEFUL ending, and here we meet her again over 100 issues later (almost TEN YEARS) to find out that her enlightenment and pursuit of freedom led her to kill more people than almost any other comic book villain. Seriously I think she can join an exclusive genocide club with Galactus and Thanos. But this is SONIC THE HEDGEHOG! Not counting this issue the entire comic's run before this point had less than 10 people die violently, and that includes a war storyline. The ludicrous loss of life and introduction of half a dozen support characters just to have them die in the next page is so insanely out of tone with the comic itself it makes me wonder how the title escaped cancellation (although it is telling that Ian Flynn would take over as writer only a few issues after the conclusion of this arc.)
