'Rubbert had always been one of the kindest denizens of Rubberation, though intimidating to look at given his massive, muscular size! But when a kind admirer in the form of an ebony feline desired a super-sized hug, Rubbert was more than delighted to deliver.'
Yet another commission from one of my (fortunately) saintly patient commissioners,
windscar, featuring a somewhat neglected (least for the last ten years) character from my short-lived Rubberationoon web site. Earlier pictures of him can be found Here & Here
If you search for 'Rubbert' you'll actually find someone having re-drawn one of the images...was so nice that they asked first [:-/
I've been continually amazed, even 10+ years later at how many fans of this come out of the woodwork...people I wish I'd had back then! I was so discouraged by the seeming lack of interest I just abandoned the thing, though characters (like Angus) from the page show up here now and then. I HAD been hoping to do a series of anniversary pictures given that last year marked ten years since I had launched the site, but never found the time. There's always the fifteenth!
So I was elated when Windscar came to me wanting something featuring one of the old Rubberations gang, I'm just sorry it took me so long to complete. But hopefully I'll get around to doing more with these guys again.
Especially superox, he seemed to generate the most interest intially from those few who expressed interest at that time...just haven't had anything to do with him lately!

Oh my gosh, thank you soooo much for doing this <3. I have it faved on my other account. I'd say this was worth the wait, and I'm SO happy to see a character from Rubberationoon come to life again ^-^. I remember seeing this character as well as the others and various drawings during the inflationation days, but I never got an account at the time and was just a super shy lurker at the time, eager to see cartoon inflation art updates x3. Now, I'm not as shy about it, and try to show support whenever possible! This definitely deserves all the support and hugs, just like the big, rubber, huggable bull that Rubbert is <3. Thank you again so much for drawing this, and really hope the Rubberationoon gang can make a return some day! Would love to see all that art that was once uploaded... to Geocities? to make an appearance again :3, perhaps 2015 versions! Either way, keep up the good work like you always do, and I look forward to your future inflation masterpieces ^-^.
Oh you're very welcome, thank you for bearing with my often unintended inconsideration and sluggishness in getting back to you...I really do appreciate it. I promise however if ever you commission me again I'll work harder at being more punctual.
But I'm glad it was worth the wait, and to have had a reason to draw him again.

Oh yes, even if if I don't have the scans I still have all the artwork, it was all hand-drawn (no tablet yet) at the time so all of it is still around someplace...I'm pretty sure I have all the scans on a disc. I put all the originals in a binder in sleeves, there's even a good number of stuff I never got around to posting in there.
