This is a scene of a traditional and ritual ring fight between Iron and Nayash. As tradition it's used to learn more about your partner for hunting - their strenghts and also their weakenesses. As a ritual to praise the great Tiamat, the tutelary deity of the village, and to show It the strengh of the warriors.
The rules are pretty simple;
Tails are always tied - pulling and flinging is allowed,
It's also allowed to use feet, knees and claws at the toes,
No hands, arms, elbows, head, biting and deaths,
You win if you can pin your "opponent" for three seconds.

Even if it's easy to learn it's a long way to master, deep wounds and injuries can happen sometimes. It also is possible that one or both parties getting excited, if this is the case it's kind of a risk to separate both, so it can turn into a fight for dominance <3
