Meet Mars, a down to, well, Mars kind of gal. In her free time she enjoys painting her claws and making sure her teeth are the sparkliest thing in the solar system (or so she thinks!). She is a guardian of the planet Mars, it is her sworn duty to rid the planet of harmful threats and to keep the rust planet something to look at, but often takes more pride in her own appearance.

Mars is made out of a mix of real and faux fur, urethane plastic, and clay. Her body is completely sparkle, luxury, and two shorter local furs all extremely soft. Her tail is an artic fox tail that has been clean and tanned; this tail came from an animal that was road kill. The skull is a high quality life cast of a fox, made by Marisa Rand of Skullery. The paws are made using clay and are finished with a high-gloss nail polish. Finally, the interior of the puppet is line with an extremely soft fleece for the wearer’s comfort; the jaw is not closed so the wearer is able to get a breeze while using the puppet.

The jaw is attached to the puppet’s body and is connected via elastic. The base of the skull also has a strip of elastic made for the wearer’s fingers to have a better handle of the puppet’s articulation but is not necessary. The wearer will rest the jaw on their palm and use both their thumb and index and middle fingers to move the jaw.
