Hello hello friends. Commission, here, for
York_Indayla of a living armor, Meri.
I loved the character design for this girl -- a living Iron Maiden, and took my time in just how I wanted to draw her. What I decided on, was a combination of two ideas; two elements. One, I wanted to have her massive sword planted firmly in the ground, and her, daintily perched upon it -- as if to mask the fact that the massive weapon is wielded by Meri, with ease. Second, I wanted her to be holding her face, as if unmasked, and yet, not. Also, as if invoking a silent "Ta-dah."
I'm happy with this. It was fun to draw.
Enjoy!

At first I was like, 'Whoa, wait. Where's her face? Where's her-!' (looks left) 'Oh, brilliant!'
That was a creative pitch you made with the detachable face, whilst leaving the life of Merri's real eyes within the void of her head.
I liked
zerospanda's design of Meri based on that instead of creating a character who is fully armored, the character *is* the armor. As always, your keen strokes to the tail, skirt and sides are nothing short of intricate. Lastly, the pose she makes upon the giant cleaver-like sword, puts the impression that despite lacking the means for facial expression, the armor has the mind to taunt you.
