This dragon tail is almost complete, it’s just waiting on some spikes to be installed down the spine. This is actually the first big project I’ve gotten to use the “frost” anodized aluminum scales on. I chose them over standard aluminum to try to better match the commissioner’s character reference. They’ve got a more brightly diffuse cloudy sort of surface, rather than the distorted-reflection of the normal aluminum.
After a long period of being busy with other things, I’m once again working on pushing through my commission queue. Started this tail over the weekend, hoping to get the next one done in the next week also.

The base price for my tails is $250. This one will be a bit more than that, but as you see it now it doesn't have any of its add-ons yet, so would represent the base price well.
Feel free to drop me a note and we can talk about it! Also I've put together a page with lots of information about these tails over on my Tumblr

Was yours anodized aluminum? I'm trying to remember. With basically all metals, you can wash it with water (and soap if you need). Make sure to dry it quickly. The rings it's linked together with are stainless steel, which I've never been able to get to rust, but it's good to be safe anyway.
