The LAST 2 stanzas are VERY VERY nice! =P
"The prints I leave behind
Trail me meekly,
Like a forlorn pack."
This is an EXCELLENT animal related simile! =3
"A wind whispering blind
From distant peaks
Covers my bare back."
And this is a WONDERFUL description of the desert wind, AND a GREAT finishing line. ^^
You've got some NICE free verse man! \(^o^)/

Hmm, good point. The stanzas are what made me loose sight of that! =P
Going with how the stanzas are set up, it'd be --> abc - dec - fgh - ijh
Though, since each stanza is technically ONE sentence, it could be seen as simply --> aabb
It's nice EITHER way you look at it though! ;3
