So it wasn't until fairly recently that I learned about that "30 Days, 30 Monsters" challenge. 30 pictures of monster-themed characters - either Monster Girls or Monster Boys. Found the list, and my friend and I thought we'd at least attempt to work on it. We decided he'd be drawing the Girls and I'd be drawing the Boys. We also agreed that we wouldn't be doing one per day, so we're not exactly following the official challenge, but at least that gives us time to put more work into the pictures.

The first one was "Harpy." I've drawn harpies and bird people before, so I went a slightly different route. Gave this one a definitely more human face, and made him rather small in size - I actually based him on the Zebra Finch. Not exactly an intimidating bird, though it does seem like this little guy has gotten into trouble now and then. And yes, he has been tagged with a metal bracelet by some unknown individual.

So far I've just been calling him "Finch," because that's sort of what he is.
