An experimental piece I did for myself tonight, featuring one of my oldest characters, Ema. (who's due for a name change)

Originally a character for a graphic novel that never happened, she goes through many tragedies in her life, like getting half her face nearly torn off in battle, and watching her adoptive son die..which is you know, just great. Poor thing, she's probably the character I torture the most, even if I don't draw her much anymore.

idk whats happening in this scene, but i wanted to practice with mood and color, something that I really struggle with.
