The world they're in has no humans or anthros, but ferals can talk and have human personalities (kinda like warrior cats)
The area they both live is a field with a few trees by the ocean
Saffie can fly, Zephr can't (unless he's levitating) but Zephr can swim and Saffie can't, so maybe a scenario involving a bird or something drowning and them both working together to save it, using their own abilities? (zephyr in the water helping it out and saffie flying?)
Zephr is slightly psychic and his tail is made out of psychic energy

Saffie is quite bubbly, over optimistic, happy kinda character
Zephr is a little quieter, more reserved but is a bit of a tease
