I could not find Creampuff and in a panic went down the ramp off our back porch to look for her outside... and my foot slipped off the edge as I got near the bottom, I then slammed into and slid across the concrete patio. I am not seriously hurt, but my palms, knees and the side of my face slid across the rough concrete. I am scraped up, swollen/bruised, and I cut my face, I also busted my glasses... my favorite glasses :(
I did find Creampuff on top of the shed.
Damn escape artist cat.
(Of all the cats I only freak when she gets out because she is intent on getting out of the yard and in 2008 vanished for 24 hours and came back with a broken leg)

if the frames are still alright you might be able to just squeeze the lens back into them. neither of the lenses in my glasses have actually been glued in for three years lol. also if you want to go to walmart with a vision center, they might fix them for free, i got mine fixed there a few times and i hadnt even bought from them. glad you werent too badly hurt and found creampuff quickly!
had a bit of trouble in the past with glasses, ended up using a bit of glue and some wire splints to repair my own after a nice fall. found out recently that sometimes its just cheaper to replace the frames completely than pay for repairs, especially if you find the exact pair you already had on ebay for a fraction of the price they are in store.
I'm sorry they got broke o.o. If ya need new ones I can suggest Zeni Optical, it's online, ya just need your prescription and to measure your face xD. I mention this, because I have felt this pain too, but the Zeni guys are stupidly cheap. I got two pairs, prescription for 50 bucks. I only rreealllyy like one pair. but if I broke mine I would wear the less liked pair, and just order two more xp. Sorry to sound like an add, I just know how much it sucks when you break a pair and you feel like you won't be able to eat for a week o.o
Ouchie!! At lest you didn't injure yourself seriously.. I'm going to send you an inflatable body suit for protection.
I'm glad your cat didn't stray too far.. Right now one of my late wife's cats has gone MIA for nearly 3 weeks. She was old and I have a feeling I won't be seeing her again..

Looks like those glasses are the 'faux frameless' style. I had a set like those before.
you just need to set the lens against the metal part of the frame, then stretch the clear cord piece around the bottom curve of the lens. (Look at the intact lens for an example.
The cord may have been stretched and no longer holds the lens securely, that's where your standard superglue comes in handy. That'll help to lock the cord and lens into a single mass. Just remember two things: clean the cord and lens well before gluing, and superglue fumes tend to be a major eye irritant, so you'll want to use yur 'backup/emergency' pair while the glue cures on that one.
