A Gift From the Great Kings
And let the Kopa fan wars rage on… *Grabs the popcorn*
Inspired by the surprising lack of Kopa/Vitani fan art out there, I chose to take the liberty of creating my own drawing depicting the two, not long after welcoming their first (and certainly not their last) cub into the world. Simba decides to be around them in the aftermath of his grandson's birth, still feeling amazed that Kopa turned out to be alive after all these years. In a sense, neither he nor Vitani never thought they'd be here at all. Simba never thought he'd get to see Kopa's cub(s) due to thinking he was dead, and Vitani thought she'd never become a mother for the same reason. So really, Kopa's return was able to fill the gaps left by Zira for the both of them, and reignite their hopes for the future. In their eyes, this truly is a blessing from the Great Kings themselves.
After much practice, patience, and trial and error, I finally managed to get adult Simba to look right in my drawings. I still have no idea why he was so hard for me to begin with, but I digress. I opted to use his TLKII design and color scheme here, since I do respect that he's gotten older since the first movie, hence why I'm not bothered by his physical differences. Especially since he's officially become a grandfather here, so he'd absolutely have to look older at least by now. I think he came out quite good for my first attempt, and I hope to perfect him further in future drawings containing him. (I can't help but feel his positioning/perspective here is off, though…)
The newborn cub pictured here is named Amani, which means 'peace' in Swahili. Obviously, he's Kopa and Vitani's firstborn cub, and Simba's third grandchild overall. (Behind Kenta and Sala, Kovu/Kiara's twin cubs born before.) When he's older, his personality generally takes after his mother's; Very tough, likes to play rough, and even aspires to learn how to hunt. Despite this, he still has quite a soft side to him, caring immensely for his parents, his (future) younger sisters, and his cousins. He doesn't get along very well with Kenta for a while, but they eventually learn to like each other as they age.

Firstly, I would set the record straight to the fans that he did indeed exist, and that the rumors of Zira's exile having something to do with him are true. Then, I would do everything possible to produce a fourth and final Lion King film set after the events of SP. Kopa unexpectedly returns to the Pride Lands, where much of his story is told in flashback. Naturally, the Pride Landers are overjoyed that he's alive, and how he spent so much time trying to find his way home. Meanwhile, it would be revealed that Zira is also alive, and that she's joined forces with the hyenas (Or what's left of them) to try and start a full-scale invasion of Pride Rock. Zira doesn't yet know that the hyenas actually killed Scar, and since they don't want to get mauled, the hyenas keep quiet about it and go with her plan. The rest of the movie I can't say just yet, but I'd be sure to include a final, climactic fight between Kopa and Zira.
