The pencils weren't so bad, but it started going downhill after.
I'm trying to up my game and my speed, to something closer to the streams I'm watching. While I was happy with the pencil sketches, and the inks, the scan of the inks was terrible. I couldn't easily get them cleaned up. I wanted to get to the colouring, but with the dithered lines, and frankly "black" lines that were pale grey, it wasn't working out. Lots of flipping back and forth between PaintSai and Photoshop, to adjust levels and dimensions and a couple other things.
Like, PaintSai doesn't have a gradient fill? Or maybe it does and I can't find it. Anyhow, got tired of working on it. About the only part I'm happy with is her eyes.
She's also the one making faces in the scraps.

nice design. :)
the biggest problem is that the ink diffundates out into the paper, and the scanner picks that up. so you either clean out the lines in PS or something, or go over the diffundated pixels with a brush separately, then fill out.
or maybe ponder inking digitally. :)
