Changeling: See if I invite you to any of MY parties! *grumble*
The 100th episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic finally aired (and went on youtube) today, and I freakin' LOVED IT!!!
This episode must have been the coolest episode of the whole series! And what made it cool? Because everything about the episode was a shout out to us, the fans!
They brought back some of the background characters that were loved by the fans, gave voices to several of the favorite background characters, (still no English Vinyl though) and they made a whole bunch of the fans' most popular head-cannons into actual show-cannon! (like Doctor/Derpy shipping! ^^)
And there's a hidden image in there that when I managed to pause at the right moment, I laughed my butt off!
And then the Mayor's speech at the end had a much deeper meaning that you might think, because it includes us! Her speech sortof breaks the fourth wall to include us, and I think it is a way for the writers of the show to say thank you to the fans, to say MLP would not be what it is today if it were not for all of us, and that no matter how insignificant we think we may be individually, that we have ALL played important roles, and as a result, helped create something truly special; the Brony community!
Well, that was my interpretation of it anyway. Heh, got me to shed some tears! ^W^
Anyway, if you haven't seen the episode yet, then WHAT THE HAY ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? GO WATCH IT NOW!!!

Oh, I just saw it! (I might have to go frame by frame with that episode so see what other things I missed!)
Well, the one I was referring to was the final crash just before Vinyl's (totally awesome) locomotive hits the Twilight staff, when the screen is skipping between all the ponies, there is a hidden photo that appears for four frames. I don't want to ruin it, but when you see it, you'll die laughing!

Yeah, I've noticed that the comic has been a lot darker than the show in general. It's like the comic is more targeted to the adult bronies, rather than the younger audience the show targets.
Personally, I sort of like the slightly darker version. It's like the Discord situation; he tried to overthrow Equestria three times, then he commits to treason with the agreement that he would be allowed to torture everypony to death after helping Tierik rob them of their magic, and ability to fend for themselves, and all he does is say "I'm sorry" and everything is okay? That's a bit too cheery for me. And Discord has obviously not learned his lesson, seeing that he tossed a mail delivery pony to his death, and threatened to send another pony to another dimension, and Celectia was cool with that! WTF!? She is TOTALLY sleeping with him!
Kind of went off on a tangent there XD

Yeah sorry, as an adult I like my ponies cheery and light-hearted... if I wanted to see darkness and death, there's plenty of other places to go for that :P
I think you're assuming a bit much with Discord killing anybody, though. I doubt the mailpony for example was in any real danger of dying considering the rating of the show...

Cheery is good, I do like a good cheery theme that puts me in a positive mood, but not so much with allowing villains to get away with anything just for saying they are sorry.
Also, the mail pony was carried off by a vicious looking beast in a land of chaos and havoc, and was never heard from again. It's pretty much guaranteed that he was not being invited for tea.

Well, I'm sure that the writers meant it to be comic relief, but it was still apparent that the mail pony was tormented and scared in that place, and had already had to escape one threat (which suggests that the creatures there were aggressive). Also, it was quite clear that he was unable to defend himself in that place, not even being able to walk, being that he was helplessly floating around aimlessly, so whatever intentions that beast had for him, he surly wouldn't be able to stop it.
The fact still remains that instead of even giving him directions, Discord threw a defenseless pony into peril, quite literally, which proves he does not care in the slightest amount for ponies lives or safety.

Hahaha, well that would be quite the awkward situation when he ends up meeting the princesses by the punch bowl! XD
Or maybe he's just this changeling?
