MaineFur BBQ: The Smallest Member of the Party
This funny looking fellow is a sugar glider. No, I hadn't heard of them before the meet either. This is one of a pair brought by
taesolieroy and they loved crawling all over people.

They eat more than that ;3 Little Xeeva here is my lass. Both of them will be 5 this August and September - whoo!
They're a bit pricy when initially buying and setting up their environments (their new cage upgrade from a way-too-small to a proper sized cage was a $200 investment), but food-wise they're actually rather cheap. There's a pellet food I order from a specific company in a 5lb bag that lasts roughly three months for $25 and it comes mixed with dried fruit that I'll agument with bee pollen, eucalyptus leaves, fresh fruit, honey, live and dried mealworms, and pasta treats - all rather inexpensive compared to your typical cat and dog treats. I'm still trying to get them on veggies, they've only recently taken to bananas and love to nip a bite of cheese when they can get it.

Ahaaaa! Ok. Still, the sugar water is probably the worst thing you can feed them XP My little girl in this image was bred by mill breeders (hence her smaller than normal size) that fed garbage such as their gliders loving doritos or pizza treats to curious buyers. One of my reasons for keeping them is to show people how a properly socialized and raised glider looks and behaves and their real diets as 'educationals'.
Oh good lord I know about the cheese bit! We can't have bacon in the house due to one member of the family being allergic, so the rest of us resort to cheeses, with extra sharp cheddar being an almost staple snack.

Oh god someone touted that garbage? XP
I only got Xeeva because a boy impulse bought her from the breeders, and didn't tell his dad. I technically class her as a 'rescue' because she had some serious issues when I took her in as my first, particularly in the biting department. After a year though, she's the sweet, social extroverted butterfly that wins people over with her antics of hopping from person to person when properly roused.
Haha, I'm slowly working my way through. At first I would only tolerate mild, then it grew to sharp, and has settled on extra for now.

I will say they are well worth the effort of raising and bonding during the first few months to a year, even when they have unsupervised jaunts across the desk and into the bag of dried mealworm treats in a house full of cats due to a cage door not being properly closed >_>
Oh god I had no idea that chams fetched that price. I've seen new leo and beardie morphs fetch those areas of prices easily. I dunno if I could handle the needs of a cham mostly due to the humidity factor around my paper >_> desert or desert-ish critters for me please!
Haha, it's not a problem with the favs, not the first time that happened!

You have an FA!. I didn't know. I'll have to re-edit the captions and link you.
Thanks. Not knowing your stepmom I'm not sure how big a compliment that is

Ah, I didn't remember.
So her specialty is humans sitting very, very still, or, people dressed in finery standing very, very still.
Whereas I take pictures of people on the move, and people dressed in fursuit finery standing very, very still.
So I'll take it as a big compliment.

Oh she is not at all a still person, she excells at catching the emotion of the moment with the clients she works with. She does a few 'still/standing' photos, but she prefers them moving as she has a camera with a very very high shutter speed, and I've seen her in action before. Often after a wedding when she used to have them, it would be a day before she crawled out of bed again to work on award winning photographs.
