I did the same class in 2014. It took me about as long to finish mine, too. I still have them, too.
I'd like to learn to do pawpads with them.. I guess I'll have to teach myself..

Yeah it would of been nice to at least get a demo in person of putting on pads. Though depending on the kind they don't seem too difficult.
 Matrices has a nice tutorial on her website for toony pads I've been planning to try it out soon. What you do is on the handpaw before you see them together is you draw where your pad will be on the backing. Then place some vinyl or fleece underneath on the fur side and sew around the circle and leave space for stuffing after trimming them.

Though I think I'll probably end up complicating it when I try.
Lol That's what happened to me with silicone pads on the paws I've been wearing with my suit. Instead of just shaving and gluing I wanted to make them seamless and more secure. My method needs work though it did seem to come out pretty good for my first attempt.

I've seen where the pads are fleece pillows, the fur is cut out at each pad, and the pad sewn in the hole..
Two of my suits have paws made that way.

Cool. That sounds a bit like how I installed the silicone pads on my paws. Though I think if I'd of been using something like fleece or of had a thimble sooner it would of come out neater.
