Cornelius would most assuredly be better at any sort of religious duties. RevSeb is in it to please himself rather than God, and skips out on a lot of duties. He doesn't even know how to perform a baptism he'd likely just dump you in some water and claim "hail jesus"

It's from Steven King's story/movie "Needful Things", where Satan opens up an antique shop in a small town in Main, and spreads seeds of evil in everyone who comes through his door, including the local priest and pastor, who already don't really like each other in the first place.
As a Christian, even though I don't like horror at all, the story really struck a chord with me.
