This took me forever to sculpt but finally I got my fursona in 3D ;) With clothes ;) Well who does not love a warm otter hug :)

www.cgcookie.com , look up the blender section and go into the topology tutorials, It'll give good explanation of topology. Especially look at areas such as the shoulder region. The model they show isn't the 100% definite one to use, but it's a excellent reference to work off of. Topology for most basics is how your Polygons flow on the mesh. If they don't flow nicely, animating will have lots of artifacts that just look terrible.
