I always wonder.. it's called the Quarter because it's like, quarter the size of a normal Macross Battle class ship... But I also wonder if that means there's THREE more in the fleet? You know... four quarters?

I think its because its one quarter the size of the original macross so that would be about 400m. I always called it the quarter pounder W/cheese.

LoL... I love how it's got Melee skills. XD Sure, the original SDF Macross could do a really slow punch... and the Battle series could smack the crap out of ships if it really wanted to... but the Quarter is small enough that it's almost an ultra-size fighercraft. XD it's meant to get in NICE and close, surprising the hell out of the enemy.

The fact it has Fractal internal geometry, to aid in its transformation without sacrificing the crew's ability to move around inside it, always boggles my mind.

All this needs to oomph it up are the VF-25s and "Nyan Nyan Service Medley" in the background...

My personal favorite moment was the Konig, Quarter, and Frontier triple team attack.

The quater really is a great new addition to the Macross ships. But I'm conflicted with an issue. Should it be that it's a new ship that is being intergrated as an esscort battleship to help support Battle-Numbers (covering their recharge times for the main cannon)... or simply a ship designed exclusively for the SMS and will remain one of a kind. Both have their good points.

Anyway, nice depiction of the ship, the 'shield' always did confuse me, but helps keep the ships design balanced as the main gun is kept in-hand even in ship form. It's probably the only one that looks like it's humaniod design even in ship form, just laying down =P

I think the SMS received the MQ to conduct trial runs to see if the design was effective in combat, same reason why the SMS was issued the brand new VF-25s as well.

It's possible. That might of also have been something leading up to the SMS's intergration with the main millitary.

A ship with "blaster/ shield" is just wrong that's overkill on a unit like that nicely done but I wouldn't want to "melee" against that (even tho I've squared off against the Psycho Gundam Mk III )that one is just scary
