It's funny how much you can change in a matter of 2 or more years. Before, you were the type of person who was extremely nice, kindhearted, forgiving, and easily excited. I mean sure, you had several rough bumps, but you stayed strong... But how long until enough is enough? Over time, you begin to change after you go through more shit, heartbreak, pain, betrayal, and slowly begin to lose what you once were. You become less empathetic, less happy, and slowly begin changing. You end up becoming a whole new person after getting sick of being walked on, used, hurt, and abandoned.
Sometimes though, you miss who and how you were before. But no matter how much you try, you aren't able to go back. You end up stuck in the past, but remembering not only the good times, but the bad things that happened to you. The people who hurt you. All of it! Over time, you just want all your troubles to go away! You miss the times when things were okay... So your past and present end up colliding in a confliction between both.
