I've been going through all of my sketchbooks recently and finding unfinished pieces of art ready for completion. This is one of them.
After recently having an excessively vivid dream about one of exes who started off as a really good friend when we met in college, I had to finish this. We were friends for years and always flirted quite heavily and eventually we became lovers, some shit happened, we broke up and stayed out of contact for a couple years. Eventually, we got back in touch through a mutual friend and started to rekindle what we had. Things went quite lovely for awhile until I got used and betrayed. Now we're nothing more than a "nodding acquaintance".
We were both MASSIVE Enter Shikari songs and this track, Nodding Acquaintance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8rtmdfM90o came to mind as I drew this one.
So yeah >.> Not often I air my shit on here but this is something I've put behind me :3
Also, my absolute favourite hoodie is included <3

the atmosphere and pose in this are really dark and tense, I really like the hunched shoulders and the head pointed downward almost like she's in the rain or snow and shielding herself from the elements, or perhaps from the thought of the events you described. The outfit is great, it's also a nice effect how you kept the color on the other character without any outlines, like he's fading out of the picture. Nice work Rags <3
This was a sorta experimental piece, so I'm pretty stoked you like how it came out and managed to get the point across with the body language! :D Thank you, it's stuff I actually wear lol I hoped the lineless "fade-out" would work with Moore. Less definition as we grew further apart. As someone I adored for years, it was a pretty big blow. First love and all that :I
