In case you are wondering what he's doing, he got into the strawberries XD
Hey all! So just the other day I was working on a full body expression sheet and decided to do it in a more toony style and, I really like how it looks.
So here's what I'm asking:
Is this something you would like to see more of?
I'll still be using my normal style of course, for comics and other more serious projects, but I figured the toony style I could use for fun little illustrations and less serious comics.
With my normal style, I spend a lot of time really getting into detail, traditionally, that's not so bad. There really isn't a way to zoom into that unless I have a butt load of magnify glasses. Digital... well there is a reason you don't see many digital illustrations is because... I zoom in a lot and I focus on a loooot of detail and I am much more finicky and it sets me too far back on my other projects. And the big issue: I spend so much time on the drawing itself I forget to practice other things >3>
This cartoony type of style is very simple and doesn't really take me long, not to mention it's super adorable! As you can see I actually shaded this and played with some effects :3 I thought this style would be great for little holiday peices, cute little illustrations, because I really need to get back to adding more to my gallery. My standard style I am thinking of saving for traditional line work as I get a lot of detail in and it doesn't take me near as long as digital does
So what do you all think? Is this something you'd be interested in seeing more of?
Long and short of it: I wanna do my illustration work with my babes, thinking about adopting a toony style along side my standard style.
