"Come on! you need this. You need a fresh start." Gini said.

"But, I already Made a fresh start". Mariko lamented. "And I certainly do Not feel any better. Maybe, I should go back to him. Anything is better than feeling this loneliness. "

Gini walked over to her friend, putting a paw on her shoulder and leaning in, she spoke softly to her.

"Mariko, please listen. This pain will pass. But do you rally want to go back to feeling like you're nothing but an outlet for a manchild to release himself in?"

Mariko hung her head lower, whispering softly. "No. I don't."

"Good! exclaimed Gini. Then we're going shopping!"

"What? Now? I'm not ready to go anywhere!"

"That's fine! Giggled Gini. That just makes it easier for you to find something pretty and new."

"Fiiiiiiiiiiiiine. Sighed Mariko. Lets go."

A few hours later, after a nice lunch and several trips to different shops. Mariko found herself in front of the mirror with a new dress and set of pearls.

She had to admit, Gini was right...she did feel much better now. And really loved the new dress.
She even felt a little flirty. Maybe things would work out after all.

"See? You look Gorgeous! Gini exclaimed to her friend. Absolutely beautiful. "

Mariko smiled shyly. "Thanks Gini. I really did need this."
