Sherman is from my tabletop RPG group's Ironclaw game. He's pretty much a tank (hence the name), with an intellect to match.

This grew out of my derision of the "Rhinos are skilled in camouflage" from Ironclaw. A (good) ninja excels in being unseen, so why not put that camouflage skill to practical use & become a ninja? This is just a moment of flippant whimsy--Sherman remains a stolid judicial champion, as he lacks many essential ninja qualities (agility, grace, coordination, etc).
