Hi everyone have some Dreyas! I wanted to draw her in her most updated design. I really wanted to illustrate her role in my primary voices as my inner child. She's that happiness, trust, lovingness, innocence, and pure joy in the world that we can only experience through the eyes of a child.
While Dreya isn't a young child anymore, she will always appear as one. She is a very positive character, and she's finally come into her own and grown into what she was meant to be. I wanted to go with more pastel colors, instead of vibrant more saturated tones. This will also help her match her love Aric (formerly Akashi, owned by
) who has also changed a lot, and is now of more neutral tones. And though they have both changed for the positive, their premise remains the same. He is her protector and will do all he can to preserve her innocence, and she will provide him with that sense of wonder and joy only she can. They are so adorable ok.
I am going to write more about her in my character journal soon. :3
Dreya is a Double-Merle Shetland Sheepdog, and is very lucky that she ended up healthy, as many double merles struggle with congenital defects.
I really wanted to capture her cute here, and hope I kinda pulled that off.

And who knows when I will actually get around to writing in there more. All I've gotten done so far is a little bit on Shadow. x_X You really should just make a LJ to talk character stuff. Cause I love your characters, and I would read things you would post. Do you still post about them in Tumblr? I am still figuring out shit about Tumblr I guess I kinda could use that. But LJ is just easier for people like me who are from the old days and can't handle these new fangled websites *shakes cane*

YEAH i read about shadow i love her!! but i do have a journal on dw for character stuff! i guess its easier for me to use it there bc that is where my friend and i rp as well - here (its all public entries so u dont have to add it to read it) lmao i dont use tumblr too much for character stuff anymore because im too afraid of sharing it there as the community of tumblr is just...... ugh lmao

AHHH WHAT I did not know about all this!!! I just read about you changing Shanon to a girl and I find this really suiting for her, and you. I think it makes complete sense. Not only for you to identify with Shanon more personally, but for the character traits and behavior Shanon exhibits. Like you said, masculine vs. feminine manipulation techniques and stereotypes are very different. Must read more. Character things are win! <3

Ok, can I just say how much I fucking adore this? Can I really?? Because I fucking adore this, Jolyn. Wow!! I absolutely LOVE the outfit design and the color coordination. And her new markings are just TO DIE, OK?? Clem would have a field day with her. XD LMAO. Good thing Auric is such a good caregiver because she would be in big trouble otherwise. ;p hahaha. Omg I love her little freckles and how she's blushing and being so sweet I just wanna squeeze her cute little guts outta her! ^.^ It's so wonderful to see you posting art again. I can't wait to see some scenes of Dreya and Auric together drawn out by you two!! Keep up the great work, as always, my lovely. Love you so much and miss you a ton. D: <333
Waahhh thank you for coming to comment on her over here!! ;; You are the best! I am so happy you like this, I just had to draw her and after rambling character thingies to you and Phee I was all inspired. I am in the process of writing a huge reply to Phee about character things, and I'm totally bringing up Clem and his possible interaction with Dreya, and his interaction with Delu - because I feel like the interaction with Delu is going to happen no matter what, and be part of her current storyline, if you are still ok with that!

It was hard figuring out the color scheme cause I didn't want it to be too crazy, but I'm glad you think I did ok! And dude the fucking freckles… I had put down the micron, then the pink over them to make her blushy and they smeared everywhere. Usually my microns do not do this, I was very much upset and felt kind of defeated and like I ruined the picture. But then I remembered some techniques you showed me to fix things like that, and I calmed down, and I think I fixed it up pretty well. SO THANK YOU for making this picture possible. i remember when she had more saturated colours in her outfits! i think the pastel suits her a lot, it def brings out the 'innocent' aspects, esp with her shy expression & blushu. She looks sweet like a cupcake! Also i love her ballet flats and how you drew them for her feet (hahah i mess up on digitrade footwear)
Thank you so much! I'm glad that you agree that the pastels work well for her. And for the compliment on the ballet flats! I've always drawn digitgrade feet, so throwing shoes on them has gotten easier for me over time. However, ask me to draw some plantigrade feet and shoes and I'd be stuck. x_X
