|| Hrokr 'Rook' Aaberg Berdahl Reference - Qalaxxy ||
*This is not my art! I am merely submitting commissioned work for myself for reference and use on my account*
This is my main character, and perhaps persona, Rook! Of course, that's not his real name, but when he and his family moved to America that's the nickname he was given.
I need to write a little biography for him, but for the moment he is of Norwegian descent, and currently in his last year of high-school, being of 18 years old. He moved to America when he was just a wee child, so he has grown up learning the English language, terms and, unfortunately, cusses. His parents know a fair amount of English, but most of the time he has to translate for them, and do the talking for them.
He can be quite timid when in abrupt situations, or if he is startled, and sometimes resorts back to his native language, which of course used to cause him to be bullied in younger years, for being 'different'.
He enjoys reading and learning about birds, and is studying to become an ornithologist. He collects bird feathers, bones and has a collection of taxidermised corvids, cites approved bird of prey- you name it! He is a keen twitcher [bird watcher] and can often be sighted at the local nature reserve.
His favourite, however, is the Rook and the Blue-jay.
He has a smaller passion for astrology, and remembers being taken to a a planetarium and observatory, and seeing the constellations above him in a show, and since then he has been hooked on learning the different constellations and even bought a telescope!
He has a tendency to collect neckerchiefs, mainly of fandoms he likes such as Pokemon, OFF and The Legend of Zelda- and along with liking fandoms he also goes to cosplay conventions.
