These are two of my characters: a nineteen year-old raccoon named Tyson and his guardian demon, Trace. The former is your typical college student. He's affectionate and diplomatic. Unfortunately, Tyson is also driven by his impulses and is prone to swift action in the search for adventure. The ermine, Trace, is his dark protector. He's the stoic, stern and secretive guardian Tyson needs to counterbalance his impulsive tendencies. Trace doesn't interact with many other characters but isn't all that kind to really anyone else but Tyson. He can often be unpleasant now that his memories as a demon have been restored, but he does legitimately want to protect the raccoon wherever they go.

It's been eleven years since the two first met. Tyson is no longer a child, but Trace hasn't aged since their first encounter.
