Strickland Arms was an interesting place in the town just south of Sizergh Castle. The town is Kendel. They have a bridge, library, and this place named after the Stricklands since they're an important family in North Britain.

Off to the west part of Britain, though, there are two towns that share the name of the Stricklands, Upper Strickland and Lower Strickland.

So, yes, my family name is really popular.
