As hard as it may be to believe: The two Daimler-Benz 603 engines with 1800HP each made this heavy interceptor the fastest German plane with conventional rotors. with a speed of 763 km/h. The idea was to create a plane with two engines that would show the wind resistance of a much smaller one engine plane, thus making it faster and way more fuel efficient. Only 39 were build and the plane never left test stadium.

Main reason it never left test stage is the same one they ran into with the twinned engine in the 'Grief' bomber. Inadequate cooling of the rear engine, leading to chronic overheating/engine fires.

One thing I just realized is that the wings are off of a Fw-190 D cause look at the shape of the wings and the landing gears. It makes sense since they used the engine from Fw-190 D
