Teeechnically those aren't boots. They're robotic legs. I think in the canon of Star Fox, pilots have their legs removed so the blood doesn't pool up in their feet when they do maneuvers so that they don't have to worry about passing out.

I'm not going to start an argument, but you're refuting one theory with another theory. There still isn't any hard proof in the matter given by Nintendo. Notice how I also said, "I think the canon", not that I was saying it was hard truth. Don't expect any responses after this one.

It used to be canon. It isn't anymore. They had metal legs in Star Fox 64, but in any game beyond that they are clearly organic.

Yeah the robot leg thing was retconned way back in Star Fox Adventures. Those are definitely real feet on fox in that game, and on Assault. (Especially since Krystal drives an arwing in Assault and is like, always naked.)

i would like to also point out that this is, in fact, a "COSPLAY" I don't think Foxlightning is going to amputate his legs for the sake of a costume :P
