Continuing my latest edition of "Throwback Thursday" - as a follow-up to my previous 'photo-op' (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16873970/) - here is a picture of yours truly (left) and my brother Glenn, taken from the interior of The Pagoda, Berks County's leading tourist attraction, found atop Mount Penn, overlooking Reading, Pennsylvania (where I was living during 1993).
I chose to wear my Sea World river otter T-shirt, while my sibling wore his Panama Jack shirt (he bought in Key West, Florida) and a Marlins baseball cap. We slowly climbed the stairs of the six-story structure, looking out the windows on each floor, and passing by doorways of the four suites (when The Pagoda was an inn, after being constructed over a century ago).
Reaching its observation deck on the top floor, we had a spectacular view of downtown Reading. (I could even see my Cotton Street apartment building from there.) In addition to looking through the windows, we also encountered the ceremonial bell (hung from its highest rafter), which is only rung on the rarest of occasions. Glenn and I posed by said bell (with a nice view of Mount Penn in the background) for this picture.
