And now for something can be considered both a late Mother's Day and an early Father's Day gift. At long last we get to see Baum's mother, Elle, Queen of the Kalidah as well as all of Oz. It should be noted there is a drastic size difference between male and female kalidah as Baum and his father, King Frank had to stand on a lower level and behind Elle or else she'd be overshadowed. is a bit of a Momma's boy, though it freaks out Elle to no end that her son strong enough to lift her over his head,yet she doesn't seem to mind when her husband does.
Another thing to note about the kalidah is that the ratio of bear/tiger in their genetics varies between them. Elle is more tiger, Frank is more bear and Baum as their son is a pretty even balance of the two species.
