Okay,, I'm truely amazed at what maya can do now.
with a bit of tinkering with the fluid system, I've managed to get a working aerodynamics simulation up and running. which means, I can actually put some of my aircraft models to the test.

Admittedly it's abit slower and less detailed than I would like but I can always borrow my school's renderfarm for a day.
