Let's face it, there's certain media almost all furries previously used as a common point of reference--Bowser, Secret of NIMH, The Lion King, etc. I know Disney's Robin Hood was a big one too. There were tons of appealing characters, though it always irked me that the blacksmith was a wimpy looking guy.
So when Dev told me over the weekend to just draw what I want (as he always does lately), I reimagined that particular scene from the film to something more aligned with my interests. Cuz oh yes, a Sheriff should totally proposition a beefy blacksmith for tax "payments".
However, I'm drawing this as a couple of human guys. Even though it was inspired by something that kept me going as a kid, I've realized I don't HAVE to slavishly stick to that now. I can follow my own interests. At least there's always one thing you can rely on from my art: I'll always have a healthy dislike of drawing guys wearing shirts XD

But yeah, read the journal ^ ^;;

I tried to do as much as I could from memory, and only cracked out a reference near the end. The cast is on the wrong foot, big deal XD
