NOTE: This character/fursuit has been sold and no longer belongs to me.
I call him a fursuit, but he's really made of fleece. xD
Anyway, here's the results to my latest big costume project! I've been working on Gundahar pretty steadily since the beginning of this year. I can say for sure that fleece is harder to work with than fur, just because it's waaay more obvious if you make a mistake! But I really liked the way Gundahar turned out. I was worried about his head being too big, but I think it feels bigger than it really is. And he has good vision and ventilation, too. ~
Gundahar is my marine iguana character with a tinge of blue to his scales. He's my second main anthro character behind Yu, since he's only a little newer than she is. One of the reasons I made him up was because I bought the yellow shirt he's wearing at the National Aquarium, but I didn't realize it was a men's size and it wouldn't fit me properly until I brought it back home west with me. Now I can finally put it to good use! Along with a few other men's-size shirts I have sitting around that I never wear for that reason.
Gundahar is a 3/4 suit so he can technically go shirtless, but he wasn't in the fanservice mood today, so maybe I'll snap a picture of him shirtless later when he's not looking. ;o
Gundahar is made of fleece with painted details and a mix of pillow-style and foam padding. He has a moving jaw and he features resin claws from
dreamvisioncreations. ~
