Summary- The second part of the "Cub of Destiny" series, set in the midst of the Lion King's universe. This second part of what is at this point planned to be a trilogy, follows Meric, the Guardian, as he seeks to further understand and fulfill his purpose in becoming Guardian of the Pridelands. Scenes from the TLK movie are integrated in, told from the Guardian's point of view, while new characters are introduced alongside some old and familiar faces.

Author's note- Since I didn't know how long the second portion of this story was going to take, I decided I would upload at least the first part I've written. It's been several months since I've really been able to sit down and write this, so I don't know how much longer a second part will take, but any comments and CONSTRUCTIVE criticisms I receive will help me greatly.
