Alright, so for the last few years I've been working on and off on my own little novel. The completed outlines alone make up for hundreds of pages, so the manuscript is looking to be really super long. I trim during the writing of the novel and over the course of my own editing, but I thought I should get some feedback on what I have so far.

Very well-written so far. :) I could picture everything happening quite clearly. I felt quite sorry for Nim, as that really was a crap thing the other kids pulled on him, but of course, he shouldn't have hit Jess. And at least Jerome was there to give good instruction.
Also, I think this line, “Mess up my scrolls and your tail are mine,” I think "tail" should be plural since he's talking to two children.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing what happens next!

Excellent catch, will make that change! I don't think I'll be uploading the rest of it here, because A) it's not yet been written, and B) this is the making of a proper salable novel, and I don't want to go uploading everything in serial format because that will just drive the drive out of me lol
