Ghast used to be an anthro lizard who was a skilled thief. But one day his luck ran out when he broke into what he thought was an ordinary doll shop. Upon further inspection he realized that the dolls on display had eerily realistic features and something about the glint in their eyes just screamed 'turn back'. Before Ghast could react he was caught by the shop owner who just so happened to possess some kind of unusual black magic. In a flash Ghast felt his body painfully shrink until he felt nothing anymore. When he came around he realized that he has been transformed into a living doll! He was cursed to pay for his crimes by spending the rest of his days as a walking talking monstrosity.

He later discovered that there were some perks to this new yet strange form. He no longer needed to eat or sleep and seemed to be immune to other forms of magic. He was also two feet shorter and much lighter which made sneaking into places much easier. Not wanting to give up and also out of spite, he continues to steal things mainly in the form of rare objects and for some reason... buttons. Due to his plush form he is afraid of catching fire and therefore dying if it were possible. His body is also filled with some strange goo that can stretch out of his mouth like an extending tongue.
