Hello! I am sorry for late reply - it was night in here. Your intuition is correct: despite my passion with exaggerating back muscles, but I bit off more than I could chew with that action pose; I completely messed up trapz and those muscles on the blades. One step forward with the shading two steps backwards with the anatomy.
Ahh, I see :) though I am really messed the concept art - because there I was based on semi-realistic muscle anatomy. whereas with the game footage he is several powerups beyond the realistic. Hence he's proportions or bulkness is not very connected to the realistic anthro muscles in favor of making an impression of mobile fortress.
