
This picture was taken on 2015-06-19 in the Arches National Park.
The Double Arch can be seen on the right side of the photo, and I actually climbed way up into it! Given that this area is subjected to slightly oxidized rainfall and these arches are made out of sandstone, in the future, they will basically be nothing but rubble. However, that very same rainfall is what has sculpted the landscape into these arches and towers we currently have. To quote the Arches National Park video, "The very same thing that created the arches is also what destroys them."
