And now, Nari appears. She is a character that only recently was created but I already love playing around with her and Hiroshi. They've just met in this story but she already treats him better than Melissa

Hiroshi sighed as he checked behind him again making sure he wasn't being followed. He hated this. He felt like he was running away but what else could he do? Ever since he had rather publically told Melissa Lewis that he really was not interested in her, she had made it a point to surprise or ambush him between classes for as she called it: Much needed snuggles.
Not that he had a problem with snuggling. He had always enjoyed it as a little boy when his mothers had let him curl up with them and watch a movie and he didn't mind hugs from his elder sisters and really had no problems with Tim and Robbie, his twin older brothers ruffling his hair.
In fact he wouldn't have minded cuddling with girls his age if they actually asked him. The jerks at school laughed at him because of his ballet and smaller size. There was a group of girls that seemed to think he was open season for unwanted attention. Melissa Lewis chief among them.
That was why he was crossing the parking lot. He used the gym attached to the stadium because it allowed him to practice some of his more strenuous routines thanks to the padding that could be laid out. The problem was the more direct path from the stadium to the side entrance was being camped out by Melissa these days during their free period. So instead he had started cutting through the parking lot. It helped that most didn't bother going near the student parking lot during the day but it meant he had to cut his mid-day workout short.
"Yooooooooooshi!!!!!!" he heard and his head popped up worriedly. How had she gotten wind of his change in routine? But no, he realized, the call was too far off, she was still over by the pavilion between the buildings. He ducked his head turning around a row of cars. Just keep going he thought as he heard a high pitched car engine and a strange warbling whistle.
It gave him just enough warning as a low-slung, wide car with a long hood and a wing that would have looked really silly on other cars rounded the same corner. Whoever was driving had great reaction time. Hiroshi, however, was trying hard to keep Melissa from figuring out where he was that and he didn't see the stopped car before the angry honk. He yelped in surprise.
He tried to stop but his momentum carried him forward, clipping the edge the front hood of the amber-colored car. He bounced up and over a small bit and fell on the ground next to the right front tire.
"Hey!" an alto voice called out and Hiroshi was confused when only the door next to him opened. Still it had been his fault.
"S...sorry," he said softly and started to get up.
"You have to be careful," the voice continued and Hiroshi thought it might be upset that he had buffed or something the car. It was much lower slung and sleeker than Da's old muscle car but he knew car people could be very touchy about this.
"Sorry, I hope I didn't damage it," he returned.
"You'd have to be moving a lot faster to hurt the FD," the voice continued and Hiroshi blinked finally looking at the driver. He blinked and blushed. She was an Amur Leopard and wasn't built like his mothers or sisters. She was taller and had curvy hips. He blushed when he realized he had looked there first. Instead of the school uniform she wore jeans and a T-shirt with a slightly scuffed black and white jacket that had 'MCLERAN' on it She also had fairly short hair that instead of the black he would have expected it to be was bleached a pure white, except for her bangs which were a bright purple.
It was her eyes he started staring at. Not too many furs had that shade of amber for their eye color and it actually kind'a matched her car. He honestly didn't realize how long he had been looking at them.
"Hey, hey fluffy," she said and he blinked realizing she had a paw down to offer to him. "Don't think that asphalt is all that comfortable."
Hiroshi smiled. Fluffy wasn't exactly new but unlike most who used it the Amur leopardess didn't say it in a deriding way. He took her paw and she actually lifted him fairly easil. "Fluffy?"
She snorted and leaned against the corner of the car. "Well I don't exactly know your name do I?"
Hiroshi winced. "Sorry, rough day, um, my name is Hiroshi, Hiroshi McLoude."
The leopardess smiled. "Nari, Yung Nari. Family just moved here and I need to find the office once I get parked."
"I can show you, its my free period, and one of my sisters is an office aid this period too," Hiroshi announced, and he admitted it would give him the perfect excuse to avoid Melissa who sounded like she was getting closer in her search.
Nari smiled at him. "Hey an offer I can't refuse." She frowned as Hiroshi heard Melissa calling out for him. "Who's Yoshi?"
Hiroshi blushed. "Um…." he couldn't lie. "Um, me, or that's what she calls me. I really don't like it."
"Girlfriend?" the leopardess asked as she motioned for the door. He went to the right side first, realized that that was where all the steering stuff was and then scrambled around to the left, blushing with embarrassment.
Hiroshi sighed as he got in. "She thinks so," he buckled even though he was sure they were only going to go a few hundred feet at most.
The leopardess just gave him a look for a few moments before she rather unceremoniously plopped down in her own seat turned a key and the high-pitched engine noise started up along with a sound that sounded like some sort'a hose broke. He knew he jumped because Nari looked over at him. "Never been in a turbocharged car before?"
He gave a boyish smile. "Um, probably not, I'm not too sure what that is. I really have no interest in cars."
She gave him a blank look for a few seconds. He was sure she was going to say something but she just smiled. "Good to admit it. Most guys don't want to admit that a girl would know more about cars than they do. What are you interested in Hiroshi 'please don't call me Yoshi.'"
He laughed at that. First laugh he'd had for a day or so with how Melissa had been looking for him. "Ballet, I'm a dancer. I was coming in from the gym at the football stadium after practicing a bit." He even dug out his squared off shoes to show her.
And that got an interested look out of the leopardess. At first she would think 'pansy.' After all, she was into cars and things he should have been interested in if he followed the norms of most his peers but she smiled at him again as she pulled away. "Ballet, cool. Bet that takes a lot of work." She smiled found a parking space close to the back entrance and the two got out.
Hiroshi smiled, feeling relaxed with her. For the first time in a while really enjoying a conversation with a girl other than his dance partners, sisters or mothers. "Yeah it can be tough, I think there are days after practices where I just want to either curl up in bed or find a really hot bath to soak in…"
