Beautiful artwork! However, I have to say that the background collides a little too much with the foreground, and the obvious use of random brushes takes the atmosphere out of it, although its understandable if you just wanted it done quick. Might I suggest adding a slight blue tint to the background so that it blends and adds even more atmosphere, and maybe I would add some other flora and fauna into the background to improve the holy nature of it all as well as some nice misty clouds... Maybe I've gotten too deep into this especially when its just you trying out, and I'm not trying to offend you if thats what you think. I do really love the piece and the detail on the person and the dragon are breathtaking, its just that the background has around the same saturation as the foreground and it lacks the kind of depth that makes using these brushes worth while. :)
