Backstory on this: I got this partial suit from  beastcub at a sweet discount because she ran a competition to raise money for her kitty. I, being a sucker for kitties and was thinking of costume stuff at the time anyhow, tossed my kirin-corn design into the ring (see http://www.studiocute.com/colorkirincorn.jpg, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1295230/ in Scraps). And I won!

So this was delivered a few weeks before Halloween, and me not having a ton of time to get anything else together, I pulled random stuff from my closet to complete the partial (the costume itself is only head, tail, arms, hands) like a medieval tunic, a belt, an evening gown, and a fanny pack (to hold a gel ice pack since I hadn't had enough time to go get an actual belt pack). The ton of layers made me look entirely formless. Which didn't stop me from getting hit on by some guy (I wish I had a better description than 'guy' but I can't see faces very well in this thing, in the dark, so all I know was he was somewhere around older teen-age to probably under 30ish) who was accompanying one of the many groups of little kids around the neighborhood. <XD Apparently my voice is sexy; who knew?

Anyhow, so the kids seemed to get a kick out of the "goat/wildebeest/Narnia/horse/unicorn" thing, as well as the decorated entryway (with backlight and fog machine) and my boyfriend's mom dressed as a witch. I even got one little pink princess girl who, after taking the candy and the rest of the group saying Happy Halloween and the like, she turns back and pauses, then says, "...I love you."

Then there was the tiny Spanish boy whose mother could NOT get him to go up to the doorway...but she tried: "Es un caballo! Es un CABALLO!" (It's a HORSE!) I guess he wasn't convinced.

I don't know why the little boys were the ones who would get freaked out. <XD I did also get asked for photographs and if it was okay to pet my head. I love costumes. I wish I had a photo of the whole thing; this one doesn't show the tail. :/
