I wanted to do something as a warm up and whenever I have art block I love to redraw old work. I kinda missed pollo's old design as well so this was really fun.

I'm always curious when i see dramatic improvements like this, how did you learn your shading/inking techniques that you use now? Was it trial and error, using things you saw from other artists, or did you take lessons and classes on it?

I have to say it has mostly been trial and error. On rare occasions I do find tutorials that I try out and I take parts of it and put it into my own style. I also get inspired by process videos and streams. Never be afraid to experiment, even if it turns out bad. Just keep on trying!
I am so sorry, i should made a more extensive post i know you worked hard but, those types of post can't encourage me, why?, the point is to say "i worked hard, you should work hard too", but my problem is "i worked hard for many years, and my results are garbage, and this adding to already existing mental health problems", i wish i could not running into this kind of posts, no offense is not your fault, is mine
