commissioned by Tiamet64 (thhhhhaaaaaaank yooooooouuuuuu!) who wanted a river background.

i happen to know rivers. i live right next to one. it's empty. it wasn't always. when it was full and running it would be cool enough between it and the cherry trees to walk my tiny dog along it.

with the river dry it's much too hot to walk in the open air. i take her and my new, huge dog into the shady walnut trees instead. once we're far enough away from the road i unhook their leashes. they look around and investigate sights and smells, but they're responsive to what i say and keep track of where i am and don't leave me.

i don't like to listen to music when i go. i like to hear my own footsteps and thoughts and the leaves and birds. i go to clear my head and relieve tension in my mind and body.

the truth has come out. i am a nature-loving bastard.
