It's finally done. After almost a year, and in spite of 31 different flavors of homelessness, 1 shoulder surgery, and 2 psychotic breaks, it's really, finally done. Inspired by a suggestion from Nicairo.

Thanks! For a while there, I thought you might never notice it, but I didn't want to pester you. I have to thank you though, for getting me started on this song- this has been my most ambitious piece of work. Like, ever. Not that the actual work on the song itself was paramount, but the sheer persistence of adversity in my life this past year has been so ridiculous, that any other project taking this long I'd have given up on long ago. Several times I wanted to just call it done with a lazy ending, but that just didn't feel right as long as I was battling through so much else at the time (and still, though things are considerably better now). I've known many others to turn to suicide after less than half of what I've been bludgeoned with. This song was one of few things I was determined to hold on for, and to return to. I know that sounds depressing- and rest assured, I had never considered something as dramatic as suicide in all this time- but a rare sense of responsibility, and a refusal to disappoint came about of this song. Perhaps it's even reflected in the composition itself. It's always been my personal style to try to emulate through purely instrumental music- without a word in human tongue- what I was feeling during the conception, and making of a song. The strong and motivated intro- the conflicts of interest and battle for attention in the body- the sparse and defeated solo- the steady reintroduction of the main theme- the climactic crescendo, even stronger than the first theme- and even the steady fade out, as if to suggest a "to be continued" outlook on future works. It's turned out to be far more inspired than I thought it might from the start.
It shows in the music, and it definitely makes it better. As I've said before, I'm a patient person, and I'm so very happy that you were able to get something from this song during its production. Music is the language of the soul, and if you're not speaking, you're just making noise.
I'm glad that you were fueled by this project, and I'm even more happy to her that you're doing better! You'll go on to make better music, I'm sure of it, just keep going! :3
