This picture shows the Egyptian gods Set and Nephthys in a tender moment with Set warmly embracing his wife Nephthys. At the same time, Nephthys is shown to be pregnant with the Egyptian god Anubis.

Set is the Egyptian god of chaos for, of all the gods, he is the only one strong enough to control chaos and fight the forces of chaos with the Egyptian god of creation, Ra. Set is also the Egyptian god of warfare, tactics, foreigners, diplomacy, foreign lands and the deserts.

Nephthys is the Egyptian goddess of death, the afterlife and mourning. Before Osiris and Anubis were kings of the underworld, Nephthys was the queen of the underworld / afterlife and its first ruler.

Anubis is the god of mummification, embalming, the dead, the afterlife and is known to shepard and guide the dead through the underworld and afterlife. Before Osiris, and after his mother, Anubis was for a time the king of the underworld and the afterlife.
