In the narrator's point of view in Fight Club, during each flight he went on, he met "single-serving friends", and between takeoff and landing, he has his time with them, but that's all they get. To me, between entering and leaving Kings Dominion, I have my time with different people and enjoyed their company for a short period of time, and that's all I get.
