Why I will (sadly) probably always be on FA
In light of yet *another* round of complete mismanagement and terrible ethics, I know a lot of people are leaving the site. I don't blame them one bit.
Unfortunately, I need to make a living, and to make a living I need customers, and to get customers I need people to see the stuff I upload and, well... Both cropped screen shots are from the same uploaded artwork. The one at the top is FA, the one at the bottom is Weasyl. DA is *slightly* better than Weasyl, but not by much, and they have their own ethics issues.
So much as I'd love to move 100% elsewhere, I'm kind of stuck here. I can't just dump better than half my customer base out the window.
If you want to follow me elsewhere, I'm bladespark on DA, Weasyl, and tumblr. I update them all pretty much exactly the way I update here, except tumblr has the occasional reblog of something I think is interesting.

I get almost no comments on my art when I post to DA. People just don't see my stuff.
Every day here I get more views, more new watchers, more comments and faves.
I have not tried the other furry sites.
I'm sticking here. I feel confident that the more explicit ads will (eventually) get taken down or filtered out. So far, I've only seen two.
Heck, my business cards have both my personal website info, as well as my FA and DA info. Don't want to change all my cards too!

Deviantart and those other websites are like Facebook. Post something like art and no one will comment on it or fave it. That's because there are just too many accounts on there so its hard to find you. It would be like huh who's that? Never heard of him, but here its like oh I know him. That's Cave. The benefits are great too. But posting something on FA and you will get lots of faves and comments that last for hours and hours in a single day. Plus the roleplay is amazing too.
After that last stupid move by FA I used to have Adblock disabled on FA, but after that stunt adblock is staying on now. FA has lost what respect I had left for it.
If people are active here, I'll still be here to watch people and such. I've made a Weasyl account but thusfar I've barely touched it. I'll keep watching you here Bladespark. If you do move I'll follow you over on the Weasyl side.

I literally can't leave FA.
My tumblr gets almost no attention at all, my DA is worthless (since I can't post porn or erect dicks there-and 90% of my stuff has boners in it) And even if I could post things or do I get nothing. Nada. I had an inkbunny for a while before I gave up, forgot my password and just never bothered going back. I have a weasyl, but pretty much nothing ever happens there, either.
I feel bad about shit happening with the mods/admins and drama about their lives or behavior, but in order to make any money at all I'm stuck here, and it's not so bad as there are plenty of nice folks that hang around.
