Saw the movie the night it came out, tried my hardest not to doodle these two, but I failed a week after its premiere. Didn't have enough time to draw typical porn, so I took a break from everything and did a quick job showing the close bond these two share because raptors are so fucking adorable! And Chris Pratt.
Okay, now I'm back to writing lesson plans.
Go watch this movie.

One thing I always wondered: They have that scene in the original where Grant spends all that time stressing all the similarities dinosaurs have with birds, essentially establishing dinosaurs as the evolutionary link between reptiles and birds. . .
So, when filling in the blanks from the incomplete dinosaur DNA, why did they always "go backwards" and splice it with reptiles and amphibians? Why not instead "go forward" and splice it with DNA from social, tamable birds?
I get why they didn't do it in the first movie -- they were just trying to prove such a thing could be done period. But by the time of Jurassic World, they've got the science so refined that they actually created a new species altogether.
So why did they keep splicing them with dangerous, unpredictable reptiles and not something that loves to cuddle? Then moments like this in the movie could have actually appeared (and inspired a super-profitable plush toy line to go with them).
